In the afternoon of September 8th, Dr. Gao Qiang delivered a keynote speech titled "Helping the Development of Energy Storage Industry: Introduction of Sanhua Energy Storage Thermal Management Products" to find answers for the energy storage temperature control market.

Dr. Gao Qiang introduced the main product lines of thermal management based on the demand of electrochemical energy storage for thermal management system. By comparing and analyzing the advantages and challenges of air cooling system, liquid cooling system solution and direct cooling system, Dr. Gao pointed out four advantages of energy storage thermal management liquid cooling system solution: large heat dissipation, fast cooling speed, high cooling efficiency, and good temperature uniformity of energy storage battery. The air-cooled, liquid-cooled and direct-cooled systems of 4KW and 40KW were calculated, and it was revealed that the energy efficiency of the liquid-cooled system was increased by more than 20-30%. Under the same power consumption condition, the energy storage battery capacity could be significantly increased. LCCP method was adopted to analyze the life-cycle carbon emissions of air conditioning systems. With the application of microchannels and measures to improve system energy efficiency, it was estimated that the annual emission reduction potential of air conditioning industry was up to 150 million tons, equivalent to planting 406,000 hectares of forest per year, and carbon emissions could also be significantly reduced in the energy storage system.
